Able Axcess is committed to making smart decisions to protect the environment and manage our environmental impact responsibly. We have taken a number of steps to reduce our environmental impact and underline our commitment to sustainability.
Eco-Friendly Rubber Ramps
We have made a significant change to our rubber ramp production. In the past we sourced grey rubber chip from a supplier in Australia. In October 2022, we confirmed a supply agreement with Treadlite, a New Zealand supplier of recycled rubber chip. As a result our Rubber Ramps are now all Black.
This change has allowed us to significantly reduce the freight and environmental costs of our product.
We are now able to recycle rubber ramps when they are no longer needed. So we can recycle ramp materials almost indefinitely.
Reusing and Recycling Modular Ramps
The Aluminium Modular Ramp system has a huge advantage over a permanent timber or concrete ramp in its ability to be re used again and again. The ramp can be uplifted from a property quickly and leave no sign of its existence. The ramp modules are thoroughly cleaned and inspected to prepare them for re installation and years of use.
Using second hand modules at a new property reduces the price of an installation well below that of a timber or concrete ramp. All ramps that are damaged are recycled. Recycled aluminium uses on 20% of the energy to repurpose into new products.
